Origin discovery

The CDN hides the host.
Seek finds it anyway.

A reverse proxy masks a site's real IP, so phishing and malware shelter behind a hostname the CDN can only suspend, not remove. Origin discovery resolves a proxied domain to the server that actually hosts it, so your abuse report reaches the party that can pull it, and the takedown sticks.

§01

Origin discovery, pointed the other way.

Every other tool starts at an IP and lists the names on it. Seek starts at the domain and finds the IP behind it — and you decide how wide the search runs.

Direction

Every other toolIP domain
Muswa seekdomain IP

You run it yourself. Point seek at a proxied domain and it hands back the server that actually hosts it — verified, with a confidence score and the right abuse contact. We are the first to put this direction in your hands.

Scopeyou choose how wide to look

  • A single host1/5

    One domain you already suspect.

  • An IP range2/5

A block you want to narrow to.

  • An autonomous system3/5

A whole network and its prefixes.

  • A country4/5

Every routable address in a territory.

  • The whole internet5/5

All of IPv4, nothing left out.

§02

All of IPv4. Every day.

Each cell stands for a slice of the address space. The beam is our scanner sweeping across it; lit cells are responsive hosts, and cyan cells are where we mapped a proxied domain to its real host. Hollow cells are reserved space nobody can route.

§03

What a track returns.

A track is a background job that hunts the origin of one domain, ranks the candidates by confidence, and verifies each one live before it is marked confirmed.

Next step

Report to the host, not the CDN

§04

Why the real IP changes the outcome.

Phishing takedown

Take the kit offline at the host, which can pull the server, instead of waiting for the proxy to suspend a hostname that comes back tomorrow under a new name.

Without

  1. Report to the CDN
  2. Forwarded to the customer
  3. Hostname suspended, server stays up

With Muswa

  1. Report to the real host
  2. Server suspended
  3. Kit and its siblings gone

Abuse reports that land

Your abuse email reaches the network that actually runs the box, with a timestamped PDF of proof and the right mailbox to send it to.

Without

  1. Generic CDN web form
  2. No proof of hosting
  3. Ticket closed as 'not our server'

With Muswa

  1. Right abuse mailbox, verified
  2. PDF report attached
  3. Actionable on first read

Attribution

One origin often hosts a whole campaign. Pivot from the IP to every other name it answers for, its ASN and its neighbours.

Without

  1. One domain at a time
  2. Each one looks unrelated
  3. Campaign stays invisible

With Muswa

  1. Origin → 13 sibling domains
  2. One operator, one footprint
  3. One campaign, one report
§05

Observation, not intrusion.

Origin discovery is only useful if it stays clean. These are the lines we hold.

What we do

  • Work only from what servers and public records already make openly available.
  • Verify every candidate live before showing it as confirmed, with a confidence score.
  • Open accounts to vetted defenders and keep a log of every lookup.
  • Answer legal process and act on abuse of our own platform.

What we never do

  • No exploitation, no login attempts, no vulnerability probing, no traffic interception.
  • No attempt to bypass access controls or defeat a hardened origin.
  • No notification to the target, and no resale of your lookups.
  • No help to anyone trying to attack a site rather than stop one.

Honest limits

Origin discovery is powerful, but it does not succeed every time. When a track comes back empty, we tell you plainly rather than guess.

Start a track

Paste a proxied domain. Get the box behind it.

Origin tracks are included in both plans, next to the full IP, domain, AS and wallet recon. Run one at a time on Basic, five in parallel on Professional.

Basic

$25/mo · 1 concurrent track

Professional

$50/mo · 5 concurrent tracks
